How To Ease Annoying, Daily, Irritating Neck and Shoulder Pain Naturally - Before It Gets Any Worse...

You can not talk about the shoulder without talking about the neck.

They are so connected.

And often shoulder pathologies such as Rotator Cuff Tear or bursitis and bicep tendonitis are misdiagnosed because the true source of the problem is coming from the neck or thoracic (mid) spine.

When it comes to living with Neck and Shoulder Pain, everybody we see wants to know:

P.S: We are asking for your phone number not to sell you anything or try to get you to become a patient. We know you are not ready.. We just want to hear your story and see how we can help with education first.

“Why is this happening to me?”... Or

“Why am I still suffering with neck and shoulder pain after putting up with it for 6 months - sometimes more?”...

Most people think that when they get Neck or Shoulder Pain, the pain is going to go away on its own. That they’ll wake up one morning and like “magic”, it’ll be as if it never happened… But then 6 months later you’re still living with nagging pain even worse than it was when it came on.

Does That Sound Like You?

Another scenario we see all the time in our physical therapy clinic is when people go to the Doctors, and the Doctor tells them to rest and “try these painkillers” to “see how it goes” - but then 6 weeks later, they end up going back to the same Doctor again because it hasn’t got any better, only to be sent to an orthopedic surgeon who only is able to spend 10 min with you to tell you we need to do an MRI to “see what is going on.”  To then get even stronger medications and maybe even an injection. This path leads you down to having surgery.

** I am not sure how you can do an evaluation in 10 min to figure out what is going on, especially if you are not sure what you did to hurt in the first place. **

Plus, MRI’s are not reliable. You can take 100 people without any pain and 60-80% will show something such as arthritis or meniscus tears. These are pain free individuals, so what happens when you hurt? You guessed it. You may find something that is not your REAL problem!

Has That Ever Happened To You?

Maybe you are confused because you’ve been told different things, by different people. Maybe you think you have a shoulder problem - but it’s actually your neck where the problem is? It’s a very confusing part of the body to work out where the problem is, and this often leads people to procrastinate and put off making a decision about what to do to help fix their Neck and Shoulder pain. Worse, many people just end just accepting it as ‘part of life’ - as if it’s normal, as if it “has” to be that way.

Is This How You Feel?

If You’re Currently Living With Neck/and or Shoulder Pain, Here’s 7 More Reasons Why It Could Be Lasting Longer Than It Should:

  • 1. You thought it would go away on it’s own - but it didn’t
  • 2. You went to the Doctor who told you to rest and take painkillers - but the pills did nothing to help, and as soon as they wore off Neck and Shoulder Pain struck again
  • 3. A family member, or friend, told you that everybody gets Neck and Shoulder pain as they get older, so you just accepted it
  • 4. You seeked help from other Healthcare Professionals or a Physio in the past, but nothing they said or did seemed to help. (they are probably focusing on the wrong problem and not getting to the source of what truly is going on- we see this all the time in our office)
  • 5. You’ve tried using things like heat pads or TENS but they’ve done nothing to help make the pain better
  • 6. You thought it would be a good idea to rest because your Neck or Shoulder pain was so bad, but it still irritates you daily
  • 7. You decided to get a few “massages” hoping that would fix the pain, but all they did was feel nice and relaxing, and didn’t do anything. The pain returned within hours to a day later. (This means the tissue is the symptoms and not the root cause of the problem).

If any of these have happened to you - we would love to help you by inviting you to book a call to talk with one of our physical therapist at our Dallas Physical Therapy Clinic to find out what can be done to help you.

The fact that you’ve tried any or all of these things already is actually a GOOD THING because when you know what doesn’t work - you are closer to finding the thing that does! You can grab that Free Talk with our Specialist by downloading the Free Report below.

What Can I Do To Get Rid Of MY Shoulder and Neck Pain Quickly?”...

Well, here's 4 things you can do:

  • 1. First off, you need to make a decision about getting help. So many people procrastinate for so long, thinking that the pain will ‘just go away with time’, but then 6 months down the line they’re still putting up with it, and nothing’s changed… Or it gets worse. And let me tell you neck and shoulder pain is exhausting! It can be hard to think!
  • 2. Next, do the RIGHT exercises - one of the best things to help you ease your neck and/or shoulder pain is to do the right series of progressed exercises - the right exercises given to you by a Physical therapist will help reduce pain, and allow you to move freely again quick - and make sure that the problems don’t come back any time soon.
  • 3. Avoid sitting and sleeping in awkward positions - ever woken up with a painful neck? Or, after a long day spent sitting felt tightness in your shoulders? That’s because one of the worst things you can do that adds to neck and/or shoulder pain is sitting with bad posture, and sleeping in awkward positions. It would really help if you were given appropriate progression of exercises for better posture, alongside hands-on treatment, to get you active and healthy as quickly as possible.
  • 4. Get real, “hands-on” Physical Therapy – Physical Therapy is proven to help people with neck and shoulder pain. In fact at the mPower Physical Therapy it’s one of the most common issues we see. If your neck and/or shoulder pain is affecting your job, if your sleep is disturbed by tightness or tension in your shoulder, if it stops you from keeping active, or if it threatens your independence and gets in the way of spending quality time with family and friends – Physical therapy can help get you back to living the life you deserve as quickly as possible.

So the next question is:

“How Can Choosing to See a Physical Therapist at mPower Physical Therapy Help You Get Rid of Your Neck/and or Shoulder Pain - In The Next Few Days?”

Here’s just a few of the things our Physiotherapy Team can do for you:

Our customers love us

"Stefani and the mPower Team is the best PT I have ever seen (and I've seen many over the years). I had chronic pain in my shoulder for years, countless injections, PT, acupuncture, 2 orthopedic surgeons, MRIs, I even tried stem cell treatment (hocus-pocus) and yes, I thought surgery for a torn rotator cuff was the answer. Boy, was I wrong…hard lesson learned. After 5 months of senseless PT 3 times a week, I finally call mPower. Shame on me for not calling sooner!!! I brought all of my medical records (surgeon's notes, MRIs, PT notes, etc.) with me to our first visit - They didn't need to see any of that. They determined the root of the problem by my range of motion & strength (or lack thereof). In my case, my pain and inability to recover from surgery with conventional PT was mostly coming from my neck. After just the first visit and a week of doing neck exercises, I was able to put a bra on PAIN FREE…lol Ladies, trust me, if you are reading this and have rotator cuff issues - you know how painful that task can be! and Men, just pretend and try it…you'll see! Their one-on-one care and attention to detail, posture, range of motion, strength - all of it - is amazing. Please, if you are in pain whether it is your neck, back, shoulder, hips, knee, etc. GIVE THEM A CALL NOW!!! You won't be disappointed. Don't make the same mistakes I made…they are time consuming and costly. Thank you, mPower for getting my shoulder back to moving 100% full range, to feeling stronger and most important to leading a pain free life!"

"I am so grateful for mPower Physical Therapy. I have been playing piano since I was 5 and have been a professional pianist since my teens. I have chronic neck and back problems from the hours at the piano as well as from a car accident over a decade ago. I am an avid runner and boot camper, and have competed in both. The past year has been one of the toughest years for me physically, tough to the point of not being able to run and having limited workout capacity. I began work with mPower Physical Therapy at the end of June and  I have been able to return to running and begin strength training once again as well as have more comfort at the piano."

- Mary Anna

I came to mPower with very limited mobility and sharp pains in my shoulder. Hillary and the Mpower team has worked wonders. They identified the underlying issues and gave me targeted and progressive exercises to regain range of motion and start rebuilding strength. I saw noticeable improvement after each session. I'm so happy to be on the mend! I highly recommend the personal approach at mPower.
